The Vanishing Last-Minute Holiday Shopper
But now that the calendar has turned to November and the holiday season is officially underway, many Middle Tennesseans are already shoring up their holiday plans. In contrast, fewer people are expected to embrace that time-honored holiday tradition of “waiting until the last minute to start their Christmas shopping.”
According to research firm NPD Group, about three out of every ten American consumers plan to start their holiday shopping during the Thanksgiving weekend as opposed to the start of December or later. That’s a sharp increase from the 12% to 16% figures seen prior to 2014. An analyst with NPD Group says, “The last-minute shoppers have moved their timing up.”
Sure, most of us complain about the holiday season arriving earlier and earlier each year. But whether we like it or not, trends indicate that the timelines for Christmas preparations are moving up when compared to years past – including the hanging of Christmas lights and decoration of homes.
Instead of worrying about when to pull out your Christmas lights and haul them up the ladder to your roof, why not let Platinum Holiday Lighting handle all that this year?
We’ll come out to your home and give you a free cost estimate, and then return to install beautiful, long-lasting LED Christmas lights around your home and property. If any bulbs burn out, we’ll come back and replace them promptly. And when the new year arrives, we’ll be back to remove your lights – no hassle, no fuss, and no stress.
Even though November has just begun, now is the time to contact Platinum Holiday Lighting to set up an appointment with our designers before our schedule gets fully booked.
