Schedule of Middle Tennessee Christmas Events for 2017

We’re inside forty days until Christmas 2017, so if you haven’t thought about what you have to get done for the yuletide season yet, you should probably start. (Platinum Holiday Lighting can help with your Christmas lights – so call us at 615-788-0085!)

But it also means plenty of holiday events for you and your family to attend throughout Middle Tennessee. Here is a sampling of them:



1st annual Winterfest – starts Saturday, November 18 at Fountains at Gateway in Murfreesboro. Featuring the first outdoor ice skating rink in Rutherford County, Christmas caroling, Santa Claus appearances, and many other activities.

Smyrna tree lighting – Tuesday, November 21 from 6pm to 8pm at the Smyrna Event Center.

Stones River Mall tree lighting – Thanksgiving Day at 7pm in Murfreesboro. Santa Claus is also on hand at the mall from now until Christmas Eve.

10th Annual Spring Hill Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 2 at 5pm on Main Street.

La Vergne’s Parade of Lights – Saturday, December 2 at 5pm. Parade starts at Veterans Memorial Park.

Gingerbread house workshop – For kids age 3 to 12. Tuesday, December 5 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center.

Murfreesboro Christmas Parade – Sunday, December 10 at 2pm. Parade starts near the intersection of East Main Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

Family Night at Smyrna Outdoor Events Center – Friday, December 15 from 6pm to 8pm. Featuring Christmas cookies, games, and activities.

Santa Splash and Dash – For kids age 7 to 13. Friday, December 22 from 6pm to 9pm at Patterson Park Community Center pool in Murfreesboro. Featuring swimming, crafts, food, and other activities.
